Death of Mr. Nelson
News was received here Saturday of the death of Mr. Andrew Nelson from asthma at the the home of his niece Mrs. Walter Miller, in Cumberland.
The deceased was born in Scotland, August 21 1835, coming to this country when about ten years old, where he has spent the remainder of his life. He was engaged in mining for many years residing at Eckhart. Later he engaged in merchandising business at the same place which was his home at the time of his death. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Nelson and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Thomas Morris and William Nelson of Eckhart, Mrs. Sarah Murphy of Johnstown, Pa., Mrs. Jennet O'Hara and Mrs. Mary Keri??? of Cumberland. He is also survived by the following children; Misses Katherine and Ella and Messrs. George, James J., John A. and William A. all of Eckhart; also thirty-five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The deceased left his home in Eckhart to go to Cumberland to be treated by a specialist.
Funeral will take place Tuesday morning from St. Michael's Catholic church at 10 o'clock.

DEAD AGED OVER ONE HUNDRED YEARS
Mrs. Ann Nelson Passed Away Yesterday Evening, Ripe in Years.
Mrs. Anna Nelson died yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jeannette O'Hara, wife of Mr. Dennis O'Hara, 300(?) North Mechanic street, this city, where she had been visiting for the past three months or more.
Mrs. Nelson was 101 years of age on March 14th and resided at Washington Hollow, near Eckhart, for many years, having lived in the county 58 years.
Until but a short time ago, Mrs. Nelson enjoyed good health. Her mind was acute and she was able to read without the aid of glasses. One son, William Nelson, Eckhart, and four daughters, Mrs. O'Hara and Mrs. Andrew Kever, this city; Mrs. John Murphy, Johnstown, Pa., and Mrs. Thomas Morris, Eckhart, Md., survive. She leaves 58 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchilddren. Andrew Nelson, justice of the peace at Eckhart, who died four years ago at the age of 71, was a son. Her husband died 43 years ago.
The funeral will take place on Friday morning at 10 o'clock in Frostburg, from St. Michael's Catholic Church. Her grandsons will be the pallbearers. Interment will be made in St. Michael's cemetery.
The gransons selected as bearers are Dennis and Jas. O'Hara, John and Andrew Nelson, Thomas Morris and James Murphy.

Eckhart, June 29 - Mrs. Rose (Crowe) Nelson, 76, widow of John A. Nelson, died this morning after an illness of several years. She was a lifelong resident and an active member of the Methodist Church.
She was the mother of 16 children, 14 of whom survive: John Nelson, Philadelphia, Pa.; Raymond, Harvey, Herbert, Mrs. John Wagner and Mrs. Lester Folk, Barberton, O.; James, Cumberland; Roger, Olin, Mrs. Wiliam Engle and Miss Marion Nelson, Eckhart; and Andrew, Mrs. Charles Krauss, and Mrs. John J. Rodda, Frostburg. She also leaves 30 grandchildren' eight great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Nannie Weimer, Kingfisher, Okla.; Mrs. Mollie Hawkins, Akron, O., and Mrs. Louise Layman, and Mrs. Rella DeVore, Frostburg.
