GUARD, Mrs. Blanche Valerie Friend

FRIENDSVILLE - Mrs. Blanche Valerie Guard, 88, formerly of Friendsville, died Sunday at Glendale, Calif. Born at Blooming Rose, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Jane (Friend) Friend. She was the widow of Clarence V. Guard and was a former member of Friendsville Methodist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Losen, Mrs. Blanche Malaniak and Mrs. Iris Wallis, all of Glendale; Mrs. Elizabeth Haist, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Rita Davis, Pittsburgh; two sons, Roland W. Guard, Pittsburgh, and Robert K. Guard, Portland, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Minnich Funeral Home at Friendsville, where friends will be received tomorrow from 3 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Friendsville Methodist Church by Rev. George W. Lovelace, pastor. Burial will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.

GUHL, Mrs Mae Bird

Mae Guhl, 83, of 1042 Carl St., York, Pa., formerly of Connellsville, died Sunday in the York Hospital, York. She was born Dec. 11, 1902, in Addison, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles H. and Sarah Ellen Cuppett Bird. She was a resident of Connellsville for most of her life. She was a graduate of Millersville State College, 1925, and she retired in 1969 from teaching in the Connellsville Area School District after 30 years of service. She was a life member of the Retired State, National and Local Teacher Association and a member of the Connellsville United Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one nephew, Donald Bird, of St. Charles, Illinois, and a niece, Mrs. Mary Bird Hunter, of San Lorenzo, Calif. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, David C. Guhl, 1972, and a brother, Paul H. Bird.

GUINN, Mrs. Charlotte Stahl

Grantsville, Sept. 18 - Mrs. Charlotte (Stahl) Guinn, 66, widow of William Guinn, died Monday at her home in the Broadwater Brothers Apartments after suffering a stroke of paralysis last Wednesday. She had been in failing health six years. Mrs. Guinn, familiarly known as "Lottie," was a life member of the Lutheran Church here and its Woman's Missionary Society. She was born January 1, 1880, near Grantsville, a daughter of the late George L. and Elizabeth (Sheetz) Stahl. She married William Guinn, of Limestone, Pa., January 27, 1897, and he died December 30, 1930. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hayward F. M. Broadwater, and Mrs. Ira L.. Huff, both of Grantsville, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Charles Stahl, of Meyersdale, Pa., four half-brothers, Harry and Stewart Stahl, of Grantsville; Henry Stahl, of Louisville, Ky.; and Dewey Stahl, of Akron; one half-sister, Mrs. O. J. Glotfelty, of Grantsville. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the home of Mrs. Broadwater with the Rev. George Bowersox, pastor of the Grantsville Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Grantsville cemetery.

Miss A. Lou Gunnells died Friday afternoon at Hagerstown from heart trouble, aged 52 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Roley C. Tuner, Salem, OH, and Miss Estelle, at home, and a brother, Dayton O. Gunnells, Holly, Michigan. Burial took place this morning at Hancock where Miss Gunnells once resided. Her father was the late Henry Clay Gunnells.

FROSTBURG—Mrs. Mary Gunnett, 70, wife of George Gunnett, died suddenly this morning at her home, 78 Bowery Street. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Alexander Close, Frostburg, and Mrs. Ellsworth Myers, Cleveland, Ohio; and four nieces and three nephews also survive. She was a member of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church. The body will be at the Hafer Funeral Home.

GUNNING, Harry J.

Harry J. Gunning, 65, an employe of the Mason Dairy, died yesterday afternoon at his home near Triple Lakes. An adopted son of the late J. B. Gunning, he was a lifelong resident of Allegany county. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Cresaptown. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. B. A. Mason, Sr., Cresaptown; three stepsons, Elmer L. McKenzie, Seattle, Wash.; Clarence A. McKenzie, Bowling Green, and James F. McKenzie, Cresaptown; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Margaret Slider, Oldtown. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home. A requiem mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Cumberland Md, Feb 13 - Prof William Gunning, a native of Scotland, 64 years old, died tonight in Lonaconing, where he lived 42 years. He was principal of the Jackson School 30 years and was a ruling elder in the Presbyterian church. He is survived by his widow, two sons and four daughters, including Miss Bessie Gunning, a nurse in the Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore. Another daughter, Ella May, was married last night to Leslie Kilroy, cashier of the First National Bank, Lonaconing.

GUNTER, Charles

Charles Gunter, 72, of 329 Race street, a retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company passenger engineer, died at 8:30 this morning in Allegany Hospital after an illness of about five weeks. He suffered a stroke while visiting at Berkeley Springs, W. Va., and was brought to the hospital here. Mr. Gunter retired about seven years ago after working for the B. and O. approximately 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers No. 352 at Martinsburg. He was a native of this county, a son of the late William and Annie (Stewart) Gunter, of Frostburg, and worked as a miner before entering the employ of the B and O. Mr. Gunter's wife, Sadie (Rowan) Gunter, died about eight years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Kelly, of Baltimore; a son, Thomas A. Gunter, of Baltimore; four grandchildren, Mrs. William Wenzel, of Laurel, Md., and Rose Mary Kelly, Mrs. Shirley McVicker, and Patricia Kelly, all of Washington. Attorney William A. Gunter, of this city, is a cousin. The body will remain at Stein's Chapel until 9 o'clock Wednesday morning, when a funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Miss Helen Gunter, 85, died Monday at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born here July 31, 1901, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Everline) Gunter. Miss Gunter was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Jewell Hart, here, and Mrs. Margaret Sleeman, Eckhart. The body has been donated to the Anatomical Board of Maryland. The Durst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Marian D. Gunter, 71, of 201 Washington Street, did today at her residence. Born in Frostburg, she was a daughter of the late Jonas and Sallie (Layman) Durst.  Her husband, William A. Gunter, died March 20. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Sally Maginnis, Chicago; one brother, Joseph R. Durst, Frostburg; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Thomas and Mrs. Anna Shuman, Frostburg, and eight granchildren.
The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, where friends will be received tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.

Frostburg, Md., Oct. 27 — The funeral of Mrs. Richard Gunter, who died Thursday morning at her home in Grahamtown, from a sudden heart attack, will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the family home, Rev. W. D. Reese, pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Allegany cemetery. FROSTBURG - Thomas H. Gunter, 67, of 72 College Avenue, died Friday in Miners Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He was the son of the late Richard and Mary Ann (Yates) Gunter. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nellie (Price) Gunter; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Tewell, Frostburg; a sister, Mrs. Harry Lydick, Youngstown, Ohio; a brother, Joseph Gunter, Norfolk, Va., and a grandson. He was a member of the Young Men's Republican Club where he has served as custodian for several years. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Wesley H. Harris, pastor of the Welsh Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.

GUNTER, William A.

Retired Local Attorney Dies At Age 77 ~ W. A. Gunter In Practice 54 Years.
William A. Gunter, a prominent Allegany County attorney, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital.  He was 77. Mr. Gunter had retired last March after 54 years as an attorney.  At the time of his retirement he was the senior member of the law firm of Gunter and Geppert, Cumberland, which was formed in 1953. A native of Frostburg, he was a graduate of Beall High School.  He attended Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa., where he received a bachelor of philosophy degree in 1913 and his law and master's degrees in 1915.  Mr. Gunter was admitted to practice in Allegany County in August 1915. A Republican, Mr. Gunter was active in political, community and civic affairs and served one term as state senator from 1927 to 1929.  He also served as a member of the County and State boards of Education and Memorial Hospital Board of Govenors.  He was a member of the state and county bar association, Frostburg Lutheran Church, and Mt. Lodge 99 AF & AM. An ardent supporter of the Red Cross and the Old Community Chest programs, as well as other social and welfare organizations, he took an active part in their fund-raising campaigns. During World War II, Mr. Gunter and several friends prepared a county newsletter which was mailed to all servicemen from the county.  He also was much in demand as a toastmaster and was well known for his stories of "Bigga da Lou" Riley, a Frostburg friend of Mr. Gunter. Mr. Gunter, who had been in ill health the past several years, was admitted in the hospital March 13. Born July 3, 1892, he was a son of the late William R. and Annie S. (Wehner) Gunter and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He and his wife, the former Marion Durst, resided at 201 Washington Street. Surviving besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Sally Maginnis, Chicago; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  A son, William J. Gunter died in 1957. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg where the family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the W. Earle Cobey Scholarship Fund in care of Frank Deremer, First National Bank and Trust Company of Western Maryland.

William Y. Gunter, 48, LaVale, a member of the firm operating the old Stanton Mine, near Red Hill, died Saturday morning at Miners' Hospital, where he had been a patient for nearly three weeks. He was a son of the late Richard and Mary Ann Yates, Grahamtown. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Blanche Stanton Gunter; two brothers, Joseph, Norfolk, Va., and Thomas, Grahamtown, and a sister, Miss Peninah Gunter, Grahamtown. A native of this section, Mr. Gunter spent most of his life here, excepting several years in Cleveland, Ohio, as a dispatcher for one of the large bus lines. He was a member of Frostburg City Lodge #88, Knights of Pythias, and was affiliated with First English Baptist Church. His body is at the Hafer Funeral Home.

GURLEY, Mrs. Bessie May Hinkle

Mrs. Bessie May Gurley, 81, of 502 Baltimore Avenue, died yesterday at the Sacred Heart Hospital, where she was a patient three weeks. A native of Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Harriet (Twigg) Hinkle. Her husband, Charles R. Gurley, died in 1923 (sic:1922). She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marie Wentling, Ridge Manor, Fla.; Mrs. Mildred Olm, Beaver, Pa.; Mrs. Harriet Kelly, College Park; two sons, Charles F. and Woodrow W. Gurley, city; one brother, George P. Hinkle, city; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. The body is at the Silcox Funeral Residence where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Benjamin R. Bruner of the First Baptist Church will officiate and interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

GURLEY, Dr. Lycurgus M.

Dr. Lycurgus M. Gurley Sr., 85, formerly of Cumberland, died October 7 at his home, 300 Bliss Street, Southmont, Pa. An ophthalmologist, Dr. Gurley retired in 1956 after 51 years of practice as an eye surgeon. He was graduated in 1904 from the Universtiy of Maryland's School of Medicine. Dr. Gurley was born March 10, 1876, in the Union Grove section of Allegany County, a son of the late Lycurgus Franklin and Rosanna Belle (Frantz) Gurley, and was the last surviving member of a large family long prominent in business affairs of this section. His wife, the former Sarah Young, preceded him in death. Dr. Gurley took his premedical training at Wilson Academy from which he was graduated in 1899. He first opened practice in Grafton, W. Va., but was there only one year before moving to Johnstown in 1905. From 1915 until 1940 he served as chief surgeon in ophthalmology at Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gurley patented an eye shield for postoperative cataract cases, authored articles for various publications and lectured to studeht nurses at Memorial for 24 years. During World War I he served as a captain in the Army Medical Corps. In 1955 Dr. Gurley was honored by Pennsylvania State Medical Society with a plaque in recognition of 50 years of service in the profession. He is the father of Dr. L. M. Gurley Jr., Johnstown, eye specialist, with whom he practiced for 17 years, and James Gurley, Pittsburgh insurance man. The deceased was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He was a member of Westmont Presbyterian Church, Cambria County Medical Society; Sunnehanna Country Club; Johnstown Lodge 538, AF & AM; Knights Templar; Pittsburgh Consistory and Jaffa Shrine. Funeral services and interment took place today in Johnstown.

GURLEY. Thomas William

Thomas William Gurley, aged 52, jeweler, Meyersdale, died Sunday noon at Mercy hospital, Johnstown, Pa. Mr. Gurley had been a patient at Western Maryland Hospital here for three weeks. He returned to his home and later went to the Johnstown hospital. His wife died about two months ago. Surviving are three sons, Thomas, Franklin and John Gurley, and one daughter, Mrs. Llewellyn Rowe, all of Meyersdale. Mr. Gurley was a native of near Hazen, this county. He is also survived by four brothers, H. N., J. H., C. R. and O. C. Gurley, this city, and two sisters, Mrs. John Bowen, this city, and Mrs. Walker Wentling, Baltimore Pike. Mr. Gurley was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Masonic fraternity. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock from his home in Meyersdale.

GUTHRIE, Leroy

Sat afternoon, Leroy Guthrie, of near Crellin, who had been in Oakland, started home. On the way he met a number of friends and talked with them, then started again. Later in the evening his horse and buggy reached home without Mr Guthrie. His boy got in the buggy and started back to find his father. After driving some distance he found his father in the road dead. He had fallen out of the buggy and broken his neck. Dr Henry McComas and Sheriff Moffitt were called. Dr McComas made a thorough examination and found not signs of violence or attack upon Mr Guthrie and he attributed his death to heart failure.

TERRA ALTA - Orva Guthrie, 84, of RD 2, died Wednesday at his home.  Born in Brandonville, he was a son of the late John Mike and Emma (Metheny) Guthrie. His wife, Hazel Dorothy (Ringer) Guthrie, died in 1971. Surviving are two sons, Ross Guthrie of Florida and Asa B. Guthrie of Barton, Md.; a stepson, Jackson D. Metheny, Mt. Joy, Pa.; four daughters, Mrs. Virgil Jackson, Kingwood; Mrs. Vernon Uphold, Friendsville; Mrs. Theodore Uphold, Crellin, and Mrs. Willis Sisler, here; 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The body is at the Fike-Watson Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 2 until 4 abd 7 until 9 p.m.  A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Berlin Wilhelm officiating. Interment will be in the Miller Cemetery.

Archibald "Arch" and Beulah M. (McCrobie) Holland. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Guthrie, in 1995; a grandson; and a brother, Abraham Holland. She was the former owner of Red's Auto Sales, Oakland. She is survived by two daughters, Christina L. Alexander, Oakland, and Sheila C. Kitzmiller, Terra Alta, WV.; three sons, David L. Holland, Fairmont, WV, and Michael C. Guthrie and Steven W. Guthrie, both of Oakland; two sisters, Louise Bowman and Margaret Germain, both of Oakland; two brothers, Daniel Holland and Richard Holland, both of Oakland; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, where a service was held on Tuesday, July 17, with Rev. William Skipper officiating. Interment was in the Ashby Cemetery, Oakland.

WESTERNPORT — Mrs. Berti Maud Guy. 79, wife of Joseph P Guy, 311 Walnut Street, died this morning in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser. Born at Leesburg, Va., she was the daughter of James and Ida (Bradley) Reeves. Mrs. Guy was a member of the Westernport Homemakers Club. Surviving besides her husband, are two sons., Bernard and Eldridge Guy, both of Westernport; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Ack, Westernport; three brothers, William Reeves, Bloomington; James V. Reeves, McCoole Road; two sisters, Mrs. Della Strickler of Westernport and Mrs. Clarence Walker, Deer Park, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Boal Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm at the funeral home by Rev. Rex Coffman and interment will be in Philos Cemetery

"Westernport- Henry Allen Guy, 46, Washington, D.C., died yesterday in Washington Casualty Hospital, where he had been a patient five days. Born in Westernport, he was a son of the late John F. and Ethel (Biggs) Guy. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by the National Park Service. Surviving are one son, Glen Guy, and one daughter, Miss Karen Guy, both of Langhorne, Pa.; three brothers, Frederick Guy, Sewickley, Pa.; and Francis Guy, Hagerstown, and Richard Guy, Westernport, and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Rowan, Piedmont; Mrs. Eleanor Drane, Fairmont and Mrs. Irene Wagner, Petersburg. The body is at the Boal Funeral Home where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Sumner Sawyers, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, Piedmont, with interment in Philos Cemetery."

Funeral services for Joseph Guy Sr., aged 75, Spruce street, Westernport, were held Friday afternoon with interment in Philos cemetery.  Rev. C. K. Welch, pastor of the United Brethren Church, Westernport, officiated.  The pallbearers were his grandsons, sons, Clyde Cook, Frederick Guy, Glendon Guy, Russell Sullivan, Paul Sullivan and Eldon Cook and flower bearers, Lawrence Sullivan, Claude Parke and Bernard Guy.  Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs Charles Sullivan, Akron; Liguori O'Brien, Chicago; Mr and Mrs Frederick Guy, New Brighton, Pa; Mrs Samuel Drubeck and George Herbolshimer, Cumberland; Mrs R L Schaeffer and Mrs A L Hichew, Baltimore.

"Man Shoots Wife, Takes Own Life in Westernport-
A 50-year-old Westernport man apparently killed his wife and then took his own life yesterday evening at his home. Maryland State Police identified the victim as Ralph Richard (Ike) Guy, 50, of 120 Church Street, Westernport, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances "Franchel" (Welsh) Guy, 49. The bodies are at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Authorities said the couple was found in their home. Mrs. Guy had been shot four times in the back and twice in the thigh. Mr. Guy was shot once in the mouth.
Was In Japanese War Prison
Police said Mr. Guy apparently shot his wife with a .30 calibre rifle and then placed the weapon in his mouth and discharge it. Mr. Guy, who was a prisoner of the Japanese for 39 months during World War II, was recently under a physician's care and was treated for a nervous condition in Richmond (Va.) and Baltimore hospital, according to authorities. Mr. Guy enlisted in the Air Force in 1939 and served as a bombardier. From 1941 until 1944 his family received no word from him. In 1944 the family was notified that he was a prisoner of war.

A native of Westernport, he was a son of the late John T. and Ethel (Biggs) Guy. He was a graduate of Bruce High School and was a member of Kelly-Mansfield Post 52, American Legion of Piedmont. Mr. Guy was employed as a clerk by the James A. Welsh & Sons, Westernport. Survivors include a daughter, Ethel Ann Guy, a student at Juniata College, Huntingdon, Pa.; two brothers, Frederick I. Guy, Sewickley, Pa.; and Francis Guy, Hagerstown; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Rowan, Piedmont; Mrs. Eleanor Drane, Fairmont, and Mrs. Irene Wagoner, Romney, W. Va.
Native of Westernport
Mrs. Guy was born in Westernport, a daughter of James A. and Nora (Ryan) Welsh, Jr., of Westernport. She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School of Westernport and attended Seton Hill College, Greensburg, Pa. Mrs. Guy was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the St. Peter's Alumni Association. Besides her daughter, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Louis Fatkin and Mrs. John Stakem, both of Westernport, and three brothers, James A., Paul J., and Charles C. Welsh, all of Westernport."

A service for Ralph Richard (Ike) Guy, 50, of 130 Church Street, Westernport, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances "Franchel" (Welsh) Guy, 49, both shooting victims, will be conducted at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow by Rev. John Sleeman, pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited there at 8 p.m. today and a requiem mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The viewing scheduled for yesterday was for the immediate family only but friends will be received at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Kelly-Mansfield Post 52, American Legion of Piedmont, will be pallbearers."

"Funeral services were conducted yesterday in the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., for Mrs. Pansy Guy, 81, of 219 Wood street, Westernport, who died Friday at Courtland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, where she had been a patient nearly one month.  The Rev. Merle Barmoy officiated and burial was in Philos cemetery.  Born in Barton, Md., she was a daughter of the late John and Myrtle (Stuart) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Guy.  She attended the Westernport United Methodist Church and was a member of the Westernport Senior Citizens.  She is survived by one son, Gerald Guy, Westernport, one sister, Mrs. Clyde O. Cook, Keyser, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren."

GUY, Miss Wanda Estella

WESTERNPORT — Wanda E. Guy, 84, of 201 Poplar St., Westernport, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport. Born Aug. 7, 1924, in Reynolds, she was a lifelong resident of Westernport. She was the daughter of the late James A. and M. Estella (Clark) Guy. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray F. Guy, in December 1969, and was the last surviving member of her family. Wanda leaves behind 3 very special friends, Angie and Bud Burgess, and Sandra Chilcote. She was a lifelong member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church, Piedmont, W.Va., where she served as an officer in the Diaconate and the Session and was a member of the Sanctuary Choir. Wanda was a 1942 graduate of Bruce High School and attended Catherman’s Business School in Cumberland. Wanda was employed at the Celanese Corporation of Cumberland, McIntyre’s Bakery of Westernport and Westvaco Corporation of Luke, where she retired in January 1990 as a secretary in the maintenance department. Memorial contributions may be made to Piedmont Presbyterian Church, the Tri-Towns Rescue Service or a charity of your choice. Friends will received at the Boal Funeral Home Chapel, Westernport, on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008 from noon to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Harry Coleman officiating. Interment will be in the Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
