Macklefish on 20 Oct 1796 for 240 ½ acres, part of “Content,” which has been taken in by “Deer Park” in a previous resurvey; part of ”Walnut Bottom,” originally granted on 17 May 1800 for 71 ¾ acres – to resurvey, amend errors and add any contiguous vacancies, into one entire tract.  Surveyed 27 March 1802, for 488 ½ acres of land.  Returned (?); Examined & Passed 16 August 1802.  £34-2-6 caution paid on 16 August 1802.  There was a hold-up on issuing this patent because the original warrant referred to the tract “Saint George,” rather than “The Resurvey on Saint George.”  Thomas had to petition the Chancellor of Maryland explaining the mistake and that no harm would result from issuing the patent, despite the mistake.  Patent finally issued to Thomas Macklefish on 6 October 1803.
