    This is Larry Winebrenner's site. Larry is a Professor, Clergyman and Genealogist extrodinaire.
    Drawing from his vast knowledge of teaching Genealogy, he shares his expertise on the subject, along with reminiscing and family stories.
    There is a wealth of information regarding how to break down those brick walls, writing your family history and getting those long lost family legends from friends and relatives.
    The site is very entertaining as well, being infused with Larry's humorous nature and his own family jokes, legends and stories. You will also find items and letters Larry has received in his own research, from earlier family members.
    A fabulous place to spend some time!

    Period Fashions from early 1800's to 20th century.  This site has information on the different styles of clothing worn, which may help in dating an old photo.
  • Flora Winebrenner's Reminiscings
    Found on Cousin Larry Winebrenner's website, his grandmother Flora wrote down her life's story about fifty years ago.  Flora relates details of her daily life, from childhood in the late 19th century, to getting married, setting up housekeeping as a bride, having children, etc. in the  early 20th century.  Very interesting for History Buffs as well as anyone having any curiosity about our Ancestors' lives.

    From here you'll see pages broken down by US states and by Canadian province. Click on a state/province and you'll get a state map with county listings, and state census links on the left.
  • CIVIL WAR SOLDIERS & SAILORS
    The (U.S.) National Parks Service website indexing the names of over 5.4 million Civil War Servicement, who fought for the Union or the Confederacy.  You can search by name and location, etc.
